This was actually inspired by a line from a song by Jack Johnson (stemming from my now long lost i-love-singer-songwriters period) that suddenly popped into my head:
"We built our getaway upon a tree we found"
And well... based on that the above graphic more or less worked its way into my head.
The tree took me so long, all those branches... yet as always, I had to finish it. The boy and girl I sketched myself, then photographed them and drew them in Illustrator. And then the most tough part came... coming up with a decent basis/ground/hill thingy. I'm STILL not satisfied, so all kinds of critiques (and mainly better ideas) are very welcome. I just got so frustrated though, that I decided to leave it at this untill I get a better idea.
I'm going to submit this at Threadless as well, first just for critique. Hope you like it!

EDIT: I have made some big changes in this. The treehouse's gone, and so is the big.. thingy underneath the tree. I just think it looks better this way.
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
